Just wondering if someone can explain what benefits there might be from being verified on here for $5. Will there be a difference in the way our posts are treated if I am not verified vs I am verified?

I have many homonyms in my country and verification is a way for me to guarantee my digital identity associated to my handle within the platform. In addition, I can contribute minimally to the cost of the platform & verification process and I even got treats (invite codes).

I think for early adopters, the benefit is being able to invite folks you follow on other socials. Secondly, as the platform grows, manual verification is likely to take forever... So getting into the verification queue now (I just scheduled and got mid-July) makes sense.

Ah that makes sense. I just wonder whether it's going to end up just being a similar paid for verification mark basically. But I think at least here they see to want to check your ID require real names, unlike Twitter lol - just pay Elon.

And here I am on T2 "app" on #Android. I just logged in from Chrome and then used the "add to home screen" function.

I saved the website to my Home Screen on iOS. It works like a web app. Not sure if Android does the same.

Ahhh let me see if I can do that. There is a save website to homescreen function on Android too, so hopefully it'll work in a similar way to you on iOS.

It should be very similar. We’re using the PWA browser support at this time. Most mobile platforms support the standards.

Is the plan for T2 to be another centralised social media network kind of like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc? Or would it be decentralised / federated a bit like Mastodon?

I don’t think that’s a spam account. They’ve been T2 verified. Which means they had to have spoken with Sarah. I saw the duplicate posts. It looks like it got double posted somehow becuase they have the same time stamp.

It's just utterly irrelevant to the conversation, hence I think it's spam.
