That's what everyone says when they see it in person for the first time! 2,500 fans here, and the crew had to push the stage back to make more room on the floor to accommodate. And this doesn't even capture the 100k viewers online ๐Ÿ‘€

When I checked on the event's Twitch livestream, the main channel has 93k viewers โ€“ย so the 100k figure not including the spanish-language stream, co-streams & watch parties(all predominately hosted on Twitch). So 100k is likely a bit of a conservative estimate for Twitch alone.

What I've been following in #gaming & #esports this week: - How Nintendo's Tears of the Kingdom has built a huge content flywheel - TikTok's staggering gaming viewership & how it'll fuel its growth - A League of Legends player association threatening the industry's first walkout

1. The content opportunities built into TotK (from inventions to guides) has blown the title up online and seeded an appetite to play. 2. Discussed in another post, but gaming is paramount to TikTok's strategy. 3. The PA vote is this Sunday, and a first in player bargaining.

Absolutely love the recap email from @t2! Totally unique in the space and reinforces the community being built here โ€“ especially when you can go "I remember seeing that post!" Usually I'm a ChatGPT cynic but this is a great use case.

Hi Nick! Welcome to T2! Sounds like youโ€™re a fellow #gamer. What games do you play?

Hey! I was a former collegiate Hearthstone player, but now stick to League of Legends (been a fan since Season 2), Civilization, Pokemon, and VALORANT. My current flavor of the month is Omega Strikers, which has had a super interesting launch this year.

I signed up for league of legends on both mobile and PC and the whole tap/click to move throws me off so much!! I got into MMO's via WoW so I am way more used to WASD and arrow keys. I do find mobile a bit easier although still trying to digest mechanics. I love to watch esports!

The controls are for sure a huge learning curve in League. I tried WoW and couldn't handle the huge rows of abilities, so I'm in the other boat!
