I see the term AGI all over my github feed. You can have an autonomous agent without AGI. We have those all over the place today. Giving an LM the ability to modify real-world objects isn't the same as AGI.

I miss the old Apple product reveals. They captured something about making technology for our world. The iPod in Steve’s pocket the whole time. The Air in a manila envelope. These cues told us the future would be familiar and convenient. Sure was a good moment in history.

I agree. Today’s product reveals seem to focus more on the bells and whistles, and less on how the products will be part of our every day lives. The don’t capture the imagination like they used to. At least not for me anymore.

At Mercury we were all transitioned to Tailscale instead of Pritunl and it has been seamless and I barely know I'm using it. And I never accidentally post my Pritunl code into the group slack anymore.
