Just finished the Drops of God finale on Apple TV+. Now that the season is over I can fully confirm it’s a truly stellar show and highly recommend it.

Yes, I just finished it as well, and concur with your high praise. Too bad most people probably don't have Apple TV+ and so won't be able to see it. Maybe they'll sell it to other streamers eventually?

That’s not the Apple way to see to other platforms, but curious to understand why they didn’t promote it more.

The ran that TV+ promo before each episode and there were like 25 shows. They're just cranking them out like the new Netflix or something.

New Porsche crest dropped today. It’s more an evolution, but I don’t love it. The addition of the Stuttgart lettering is less elegant. You can still pay extra to get the the old one. The brand is so strong and loved, they could make the badge a clown face and it wouldn’t matter.

OR...they could keep the new badge as is and just tweak their car designs to look more like this:

It looks like most people got over the egg shaped headlights and water cooled 911s so this probably won’t even register as a blip, but personally I’d pay for the old badge (by buying an older model). Still hunting for a 996 Targa.

OK serious question have any dudes ever used laser hair removal for an entire beard sometimes shaving day after day can be a pain in the ass 😆

If you’re going through #succession withdrawal and want something similar yet different, another plug for Drops of God on Apple TV+. Season finale is tonight so you can binge. It’s like Succession for the wine world, and juxtaposes French and Japanese cultures in a smart way.

I concur -- it's really good. Though I think of it more like the Queen's Gambit of the wine world. A "succession" is at the heart of the story, but the show itself is nothing like the show Succession, except for being really good. (i.e. the characters aren't all despicable).

There are two clear vintage factions from street parking, vintage American 1950s rides and vintage Italian and German rides from the 1960s. Feels like people here are in one camp or the other!

PSA: If you use the waiting room feature on Zoom or other videoconferencing platforms for regular meetings, and make people wait unnecessarily, we may not see eye to eye on things.

Is there a waiting room feature on Zoom???

Sounds like someone pissed you off today. Assuming it’s a pattern rather than a one-off. I’m working with a new client atm and they start meetings at TEN AFTER!

Wanted to experiment with using pop rocks in some desserts, and maybe even savory dishes, so ordering this. Should be pretty cool! #cooking #foodie #foodobsessed

That is so cool, I had no idea they sold these! Do they melt and pop when cooked to a high enough temp?

You can’t really cook them, more like put them on top of stuff I think (like a seasoning).

Me: you need to eat everything with the pasta including the broccoli 5 year old: but I don’t like broccoli Me: you’re going to learn to like it like I did 5 year old: that’s not true, there's no school where you learn to like broccoli Me: 🫠 Fin

Starting to think the 5yo is also my soul sib! We make super crispy broccoli on our griddle with just enough butter/oil/then a dash of fancy salt and our 6yo devours it.

Anyone have any experience with prefab ADUs, and/or recos for reputable companies doing them in Nor Cal?
