Gather round everyone! Time for tonight’s #FiresideChat. Get ready to open your heart and share. Earlier today I posted about the importance of beauty. So with that in mind: What is beautiful to you? Where do you experience beauty? Me first: The night sky is beautiful to me.

Beauty is more than mere aesthetic delight. It’s a spiritual necessity. It nourishes our souls, lifts us beyond the mundane, and reminds us of the sacred within. Tune your heart to beauty, and you will find solace, inspiration, and a gateway to the Divine.

Do you know that feeling sitting in front of a TV, watching something like American Idol and being in tears because that courageous performance just blew you away? This is beauty to me. A human being creating passionately, finding its "meaning in the making".

Oh 100%! The human spirit shinning the inner radiance of creation. Beautiful to behold. Thanks for sharing Jens.

It's mid afternoon here but I hope I can still join. I have a little baby and a 3 year old and they both look at me with such love in their eyes sometimes and it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in the world.

Of course you can join Catherine! The #FiresideChat is always open, regardless of geographic location or time of day. I’m glad you shared, because the love of a child is both beautiful and divine. Thank you Catherine.

I keep telling everyone I know about T2. The last social media platform I was this enthusiastic about was MySpace.

Speaking of features, the biggest and best feature on T2 is the community. Not to take away from the amazing work Team T2 is doing every day. They’re listening to the community and working as fast as they can to deliver. But the community is what makes T2 special.

The community here is what has the opportunity to make T2 succeed and differentiate it from other social networks. Any company can launch a social network with roughly the same features, but the community is what will bring it to life, or kill it (see Twitter, FB).

I couldn't agree more; it's so refreshing to find such a diverse, welcoming communityβ€”a rarity in today's online world.

Yep. #Twitch is similar. The majority of the Twitch community is awesome. Twitch the platform has good features. But Twitch the company (and leadership) are killing the platform and driving the community away.

I agree! @sarah asked how to measure kindness and I couldn't think of an actual software metric. But I do know I smile a LOT when reading posts here. So number of smiles? 😁 Makes me want to follow all the people!

#T2FeatureRequest β€’ an easy to find light/dark mode button in the hamburger menu on mobile. β€’ light/dark mode independent of phone system. β€’ Keep timeline position when switching between home/noti/profile. β€’ hashtags populate, instead of plain text (see photo).

Tip for life (and online): Starve the gremlins. Unwelcome thoughts/people are like gremlins. The more you feed them attention, the wilder they get. Starve them by focusing your attention elsewhere. They’ll move on. If they persist, bring them into the light and expose them.

I've been seeing a few negative posts about t2 and my first reaction was to respond defensively. My second reaction was to respond with positive encouragement. But the reaction I went with was to starve the gremlin.

Yep. Glad you went with that response. That’s exactly why I posted this. With more people joining T2, we’re gonna see an increase of gremlins. We’ll be tempted to react. But it’s better if our response is starvation through non engagement. And if necessary, report them.

Wait. You said I had to pay by the word. This is a lot of words. Do you think I'm made of money?!?! Seriously though this touched my stoney little heart. This means the world. I love the community we're all building here 😘

Ok, time for a #FiresideChat. Cozy up around the campfire and let’s share some deep feelings and thoughts. If you could send a message to every mobile phone in the world, what message would you send? My message would be: Transcend the I. Celebrate differences. Unite in love.

Some people need a mobile phone that not only sends them that message, but also delivers an electric shock as a reminder. 😎
