I've been playing around with Midjourney =) You're welcome to use them as far as I'm concerned, but I haven't looked into what the IP situation is for images created with these tools

It's evolving. We want to verify that you're a real person, make sure you are who you claim to be (first names are ok). We have also learned that in the verification sessions with @Sarah we learn a lot from our users. So ... it's a bit of user research too.
